
Microsoft is preparing to demonstrate how ChatGPT’s artificial intelligence will transform productivity applications.
After introducing and demonstrating the Prometheus Model on the Bing search engine earlier this week, Microsoft is preparing to extend the functionality of key applications such as Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Sources close to Microsoft told The Verge that it is preparing to detail productivity plans by integrating OpenAI’s AI language model into the Prometheus Model in the coming weeks.
The software giant plans to make the presentation in March, emphasizing the importance Microsoft is giving to reinventing search and productivity applications through investments in OpenAI.
The Information previously reported that GPT models were tested with Outlook to improve search results along with functionality that suggests responses to e-mails and Word documents, improving the writing experience.
While the Prometheus model has already transformed Bing searches, the next steps are to integrate the functionality into Microsoft Office and Teams applications.
The news comes after Google unveiled a rival AI communication bot called Bard.
Also each of the executives, Google and Microsoft, want their company to be seen as a leader in AI.
